What is babymoon and where to go to relax expectant mother

Before the birth of a baby, future parents can use a little vacation. The MONAMOON team studied all the nuances of such a trip and shared the best places to rest for pregnant women.
Babymoon — a kind of honeymoon while waiting for a child. Popular among spouses of Western Europe and the USA, and is actively gaining relevance in our country. Future parents go on vacation together to enjoy some time alone, get even closer and prepare for a new role and stage in life.
Most often, the trip is planned in the second trimester, when expectant mothers are full of strength and energy, and childbirth is not yet soon. And if the babymoon is still scheduled for the third trimester, then it is better to choose places within the country. For a safe stay for pregnant women, be sure to consult with your personal doctor about your intentions and adhere to his recommendations.
When planning your flights, keep in mind that pregnant women are classified as passengers with special needs and follow the airline's rules. For example, on UIA flights, the following are not allowed to fly:
- pregnant women over 35 weeks (in case of singleton pregnancy);
- pregnant women with a term of more than 32 weeks (with multiple pregnancies).
Expectant mothers who are more than 28 weeks pregnant should have with them:
- a valid certificate from the attending physician containing the following information: gestational age; pregnancy, single or twin (multiple); confirmation that the pregnancy is proceeding without complications; confirmation from a gynecologist that pregnancy is not an obstacle to travel by plane
or
- download and fill out the form on the UIA website (the certificate is filled in by the doctor).

Keep in mind that these rules are not universal and be sure to read the restrictions and recommendations of the airline that will operate your specific flight.
Go to a resort within the country or nearby abroad. Since changing multiple time zones and being in extreme climates can be an unwanted burden for expectant mothers. Prioritize the comfort and quality of your stay.
